Pietra Ligure, in the heart of the Western Italian Riviera, is a great starting point to discover the most beautiful and authentic of our Riviera.
With short excursions, feasible even in half a day, you can visit the old villages of the Ligurian green hills between vineyards and olive groves as Verezzi, Ranzi, Balestrino, Castelbianco, Zuccarello, Triora, Dolceacqua, Apricale, Valloria or those set between the sea and the rocks as Noli, Varigotti, Laigueglia and Cervo.

The so called "Superb Genoa", with the charming atmosphere of the alleyways of the old town, the system of the new roads and the palazzi dei Rolli (UNESCO world heritage), Baccadasse, museums, the Cathedral of San Lorenzo, the old port and the modern Aquarium, is just 80 km.

For lovers of art, history and culture inevitable a visit to Albissola (35 km) with its famous shops of ceramics, in Finalborgo (5 km), surrounded by medieval walls and numerous workshops and Albenga (15 km ) with the majestic Cathedral, the Baptistery and the Romanesque towers.
At Tovo San Giacomo (3 km) you can visit the singular Clock Museum.
In Imperia (40 km), inside the renowned oil mill Fratelli Carli you can buy the ligurian Olive oil. In Borgio Verezzi (1 km) and Toirano (6 km) the evocative prehistoric caves.
Shopping and worldliness instead Alassio (20 km) with its crowded gut and Sanremo (70 km) with the Casino, its gardens and its villas.

During the spring and summer from the Port of Loano (1 km) you can embark and sail for an exciting and unforgettable adventure: whale-watching, or the sighting of dolphins, whales, sperm whales and turtles. Off our coast (between Andora and Imperia) extends the Cetacean Sanctuary, a protected marine area in which the particular chemical and physical properties, induced by the morphology of the seabed and the movement of currents, have enabled the creation of a habitat favors the establishment and reproduction of marine mammals, making this part of the sea one of the richest of the Mediterranean life.

In the eastern part of the Riviera we find Santa Margherita, Camogli, Rapallo and Portofino, the beautiful Cinqueterre , Riomaggiore, Moneglia, Manarola, Vernazza, Corniglia (UNESCO world heritage).

The west end of the Riviera, the French border is very close and you can visit the famous villages of the "Cote d'Azur" like Cannes, Nice, Antibes, Menton, the "Principauté de Monaco" and Monte Carlo, are easily reached with the '"Highway Of Flowers" and can be visited with excursions of one day.
